The Ormiston Meadows Parents, Teachers and Friends Association (PTFA) is a fundraising committee set up in 2024, now proudly registered as a charity (Charity Number: 1212994).
The PTFA is run by a group of dedicated parents and staff members who work together to organise events and activities that help bring our school community together, all while raising much-needed funds to support the school.
Who can join? Everyone is welcome! All parents, carers, and family members are encouraged to get involved, whether regularly or just when time allows.
Throughout the school year, we run a variety of fun and inclusive events for children and families. These have included:
Our annual Summer Fayre
A festive Christmas Fayre
Creative Arts Show and Exhibition
School discos
Easter Bonnet competitions
Bake sales and playground stalls
We also run a pre-loved uniform shop, helping families save money and shop sustainably.
The money we raise goes directly back into school events and resources. For example, this year we helped fund school activities and prizes and contributed towards purchasing leavers’ hoodies for all Year 6 pupils.
We know everyone is busy, so the PTFA runs on a “do what you can, when you can” basis. Whether it’s helping at an event, sharing ideas in our WhatsApp group, or attending the occasional meeting, all support is appreciated and makes a big difference.
Older siblings and extended family members are also welcome to lend a hand!
We hold meetings once every half term, mixing online and in-person gatherings to make it easier for everyone to take part when they can.
