PE and Sports Premium

Schools receive PE and sport premium funding from the Department for Education, based on the number of pupils in Years 1 to 6.

The Academy are free to choose the best way to spend our money to provide the best PE and sport activities for pupils at Ormiston Meadows Primary Academy. The documents below sets out how we are using our funding to ensure that your child gets the highest quality physical education. Our PE grant funding for this year is £17,620

Daily Mile

Ormiston Meadows Academy has joined with over 2,200 schools in England completing their Daily Mile. This initiative aims to improves the physical and mental health and wellbeing of children.

Swimming provision

21% of our Year 6 cohort in 24/25 met the national curriculum requirement to swim 25 meters, 60% can use a range of strokes and 37% can perform safe self rescue.
