Ormiston Meadows announces exciting new nursery partnership

Ormiston Meadows Academy, sponsored by Ormiston Academies Trust (OAT), is excited to announce it will be welcoming Stars and Sparkles Day Nursery on site from September 2021.

The 52-place purpose-built facility, which utilises the school’s existing site, will open its doors in September to provide parents and families with high-quality day care and early education for two to five-year olds.

The purpose-built facility is integrated within the existing school grounds and will allow the children attending to access Meadow’s facilities and playing fields. The setting will be open from 8.30am till 3.30pm during term time only initially, but extended opening hours are being considered following a flurry of enquiries from potential parents.

Stars and Sparkles CIC was established in 2019 by owners and directors of Stars Day Nurseries. After working in the sector for 15 years, the need for community-based support for families became more evident, and the organisation sought partners to deliver high-quality Early Years provision in Peterborough.

Funding will be available to those parents who qualify, and flexible booking patterns will be available.

Kelly Moore, Principal at Ormiston Meadows Academy said:

“We are delighted to welcome Stars and Sparkles Day Nursery as part of the Ormiston Meadows family.

“We are proud to offer this facility to our local community and look forward to working in partnership with an experienced provider to deliver high quality Early Years provision, and support for families across Peterborough.”

Katie Clipston, Operations Manager for Stars and Sparkles Day Nursery said:

“We’re really excited to launch our new site at Ormiston Meadows Academy and extremely thrilled about working with the staff and families from the school and the local community.

“We are proud and passionate about what we do and have high aspirations for all children.  To be part of the local Community is a welcomed opportunity and we cannot wait to demonstrate what we have to offer.

“The Foundation was set up to help and support families in the local area, and the nursery will allow us to work directly with those families and children to make a positive impact.”

Jane Nolan, Director of Primary and SEND, Ormiston Academies Trust said:

“I am really pleased that Ormiston Meadows and Stars and Sparkles are teaming up to provide a high-quality nursery option for parents in Peterborough. Both will use their fantastic experience and be able to support a huge range of children in a purpose-built space, in turn providing holistic support for a wide range of local families.”
